DD News on October 8th, 2017 showcased the operation of Ahmedabad kitchen of The Akshaya Patra Foundation. The kitchen is equipped with modern machines and serves 4.5 lakhs children in Gujarat. The kitchen prepares nutritious meals as per Government standard. The menu is decided keeping in mind a child’s health. The aim is to erase hunger completely.
